Position: Communications Specialist for the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC.
Salary: The position is an FR 25 or 26 depending upon experience; and the salary ranges are $78,860-$112,580 and $81,620-$120,670 respectively. Relocation expenses are covered.

Qualifications and Background

- Bachelor?s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or online communications. Prior experience in journalism, marketing communications, web-content/multimedia development, or social media is preferred.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including editing/proofreading

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams

- Basic technical understanding and ability to quickly pick up new technologies and tools

- Knowledge of trends in communications/media tools and applications, including social media platforms

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include:

- Provide tactical input on message creation and delivery

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent messaging and relevancy

- Create a strategic communication plan and communication schedule

- Develop and/or revise content for websites, press releases, email alerts, articles, and other forms of communication

- Execute the communications-related duties related to conferences, forums, and other convenings, including press releases, agendas, other conference materials, and audio/video coverage

- Produce (or oversee the production of) multimedia content such as videos, podcasts, and webinars; this may include researching material, scheduling and prepping guest speakers, and coordinating content reviews with senior staff

- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of communications; analyze and report on the effectiveness of communications in an effort to maximize results
