Mark Zuckerberg just took sharing to a new level.

Facebook's CEO announced Tuesday, via Facebook post, that he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have donated 18 million Facebook shares to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. The organization will help appropriate the sizable donation into areas Zuckerberg is interested in focusing on, education and health, according to the post.

According to a report from the Huffington Post, the 18 million Facebook shares areworth nearly $500 million and would be Zuckerberg's largest charitable donation to date.
