Most banks who foreclose on properties will engage realtors to list the properties for sale. As such, they will not entertain calls from buyers.

Best that you engage a realtor to help you. If you're interested only in foreclosed properties, your realtor can identify the listings that are active in the areas and budget range you want.

Or....if you think you're up to it, you can go to the courthouse, find out when properties are going to be auctioned, and try it. But be warned: this is not for amateurs. If you're not paying in cash, you may not be able to compete.
