BOSTON (AP) -- The cost of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts has trickled down by a penny.
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that a gallon of self-serve, unleaded dropped to an average of $3.50 per gallon. That's 12 cents lower than the national average.
The current price is 6 cents lower than at this time last year and 8 cents higher than a month ago.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling as low as $3.36 per gallon and as high as $3.79.
