The University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE on a 12-month renewable contract) non-tenure faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Science and Community Health. The successful applicant must have a record of scholarship relevant to Department and College priorities and experience in teaching at the university level. Applicants must demonstrate a strong potential for funded research; research and teaching expertise in the following broad areas is desirable but not required: (1) cancer prevention and control, (2) health communication/literacy, (3) health disparities, and (4) human development and health across the life span. A doctoral degree in a field that would prepare the applicant to conduct community-based public health research or interventions is required. The successful applicant will be expected to teach in the department?s undergraduate and graduate programs and serve as an advisor and research mentor for MPH students.
